One could say I was bitten by the travel bug at an early age; going to 8 schools in 8 very different locations across NSW & QLD wasn’t exactly the conventional childhood that most have. Despite the obvious set backs of never having a place to call home and changing friends more often than I changed my outfits (and believe me, until I had to start doing my own washing, that was often) I believe that life on the move has provided me with many invaluable assets, one of which being my extremely inquisitive nature and desire for adventure – or as my mother would say it “Itchy Feet”. It has been a result of this case of “Itchy Feet” that I have decided to take time out from my degree’s in economics, international relations and journalism to explore a world beyond Australian boarders, to immerse myself in a culture other than my own and to challenge myself in ways I never thought possible. So at the age of 19, armed with my passport, laptop, camera and suitcase I am going to embark on the journey of a lifetime to discover what this world of ours has to offer, ascertain my purpose in life and realise my dream of writing.
